Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Marili Skincare’s relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.

The term ‘Facemud Skincare’, ‘Marili Skincare’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is:

2. Information that we collect from you

When you contact us or visit our site we may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site or when you contribute, or upload any information, to our site. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, posting material, information collected by cookies requesting further services or contacting us (for example, through the “Contact” section of the site). We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  • We may collate any information about you which is provided to us in respect of any of our well-known brands.

If you provide us with information about another person, you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them and that they have consented to the processing of their personal data by us in the manner set out in this policy.

3. IP Addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information within Marili Skincare and to selected third parties. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

4. Cookies

Our site may use cookies to distinguish you from other users of our site.  This helps to provide you with a good experience when you browse our site and also allows us to improve the site.  When you logged in for the first time after 1 May 2012 you should have seen a notice informing you of what cookies were on our site.

What types of cookies are there and what do they do?

Before we explain what cookies are we need to explain what a few commonly used terms mean:

  • Affiliate – an affiliate is a website operator who can send traffic to a website using links from another website. The affiliate may be paid an agreed commission from the referral.
  • First and third-party cookies – whether a cookie is ‘first’ or ‘third’ party refers to the domain placing the cookie.

Category 1: strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around our site and use its features.

Generally these cookies will be essential first-party session cookies, and if persistent or third party, there should be a good justification for this. Strictly necessary cookies will generally be used to store a unique identifier to manage and identify the user as unique to other users currently viewing the website, in order to provide a consistent and accurate service to the user. 5. Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the management of our ranking systems, the analysis of aggregated data and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our, or our supplier’s, secure servers.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

When you provide us with information regarding another individual, such as when you request that we send someone information from our site, we will only send that individual the information that you specifically requested that we send. The information you provide to us may be given to the staff working within Marili Skincare and third parties who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you who provide adequate protection for such information.  Those third parties process information and provide services on our behalf.

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1162 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

  • to carry out the uses of your information set out above on our behalf. We shall ensure that such parties keep your information confidential and do not use your information for any purpose other than permitted under this policy;
  • if  Marili Skincare or all or a substantial part of its assets (for example, one or more of its brands) are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its users and customers will be one of the transferred assets; or
  • if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Marili Skincare, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, age and identity verification and credit risk reduction.

8. Your Rights

Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

9. Access to information

The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to access information held about you and to request that we correct any errors in your personal information. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
